My Bank Holiday Gigs…..

Its gonna be a busy Bank Holiday weekend im telling you!

So, the weekend just gone I was DJing at The Junction in Cambridge for The Pink Festival After Party. Kiss had turned the upstairs room of The Junction into a big pink boudoir!

I loved it, there were big drapes hanging off the ceiling, loads of free Kiss stuff everywhere, pink champagne, big bowls of sweets…it looked incredible!
There was a hen party of girls in there and they were so much fun, they were all dressed up in 1940′s pin up style! It was a wicked night, really enjoyed playing there.

Im a very busy lady this weekend though! Its Bank Holiday weekend so to kick it off Im DJing this Friday (27th) at Henrys Bar in Cambridge. I love playing there because the people that work there are lovely and the customers are always lots of fun.

Also, its right by the River Cam where the punting happens so its always busy down there. Fab atmosphere!

Then on Saturday night (28th) il be back at Innocence in Newmarket for another Foam Party! This type of night is crazy, the foam is bubbling away on the dance floor and everyone just gets stuck in and raves in the foam!

Im really looking forward to it, soooo much fun!

Then on the Bank Holiday Sunday (29th) il be back at Henry’s in Cambridge for round 2!! Im going to be playing loads of all your favourite tunes and il be bringing a few friends down aswell so that will be wicked!

IM BACK!

Hello lovely people of the blog reading type.
Yes its true I’ve been away. But I am back.. and its time to take a look at the world through my eyes. Prepare yourself.

Ahhh its good to be back. And brown. I have got a tan. Its rather brown. Its like a shade of Ronseal that you might buy for your fences. But its all real. None of this rub on fake stuff that Kaz cakes on.

Holiday was amazing. And now i have holiday blues. Why can’t life just be one big holiday!? I can easily live on holiday. People always ask me if I would still work if I won the lottery. The simple answer is NO WAY! I would be on holiday forever! and NO I wouldnt get bored!

One day on holiday I had trouble finding an English breakfast on sale in any cafe! Having said that it was 2:30 in the afternoon. BUT NO-WHERE had one still on! So that is my new business plan. A van that drives round ibiza with a full English breakfast for sale after 1 pm in the afternoon!
Dragons Den here we come. I’m in.

Big song for me at the weekend when I was DJing was Usher and DJ got us falling in love. I am loving that tune! Its proper good.. but my favourite by far at the moment is the new one from Katie Perry. Teenage Dreams.. wow! Its amazing.. have a looky here!

Coca Cola’s 50 Days of Summer….

Saturday was so good!

I was in Norwich on Saturday at The Forum with Kiss and Coca Cola. I was DJing and hosting with Stuart Grant and Manny Norte from Kiss and we had such a laugh!

We were banging out all the massive Kiss tunes and there were loads of you that came down to say hi and show your moves on the dancefloor. You were awesome!!! I took so many photos….

“STATUS” the Street Dance Champions were there and they were insane! They were all really nice aswell. So Talented!

The KISS CAB was there and its awesome inside!! Theres a Playstation in there, CD player, mini fridge, TV and loads of other stuff….

I met this girl aswell, she was so sweet….

Also this girl was such a good dancer! Honestly she had moooooves! Bless her. Manny nick-named her “Little Britney” She was such a little performer!!

All in all a really good day and the weather stayed pretty good for most of the day so we were lucky! Thanks alot to all of you that came down and saw us!

Looooove tele….

Well if you know me, you’ll know I love watching the box……

Ive been watching Dating in the Dark alot at the moment and I must say it is hilarious! If you dont watch it, its 3 boys and 3 girls and they go on dates with eachother but in a room thats pitch black. Basically they have NO IDEA what the person they are on a date with looks like!

Its a great concept because it tests how well the daters actually get on personality-wise. After they have done the “dates” they go into a room for the reveal. Each couple is stood opposite eachother and a light is shone on them individually so they cant see what the other person thinks of them. Its awful because some of them come out of the dark room and are soooo harsh about what they have just seen!

But then there are some really good matches and they get on well and fancy eachother too! Result!

Im looking forward to it tonight because Andrew Stone from Pineapple Dance Studios is one of the daters so you know its going to be brilliant!

Im also LOVING this series of Britains Next Top Model. Its so much better with Elle Macpherson hosting the show and the judges are a million times better.

My favourite is probably Charlotte. I think she is really pretty, takes a great photo but is a lovely person too!

I really want her to WIN!!!!!!

Stu’s new blog -AUG 2010

Hello readers.
Stu here. Sorry its been ages since I’ve been on here.. but honestly it is a full time job looking after someone with Malaria. But thankfully Cheryl has recovered now so I get my spare room back and some more time on my hands. ..

Check this out! MAD Piano playing! It really is impressive if you think he is playing with the wrong hands and then changes it up!

So what else goes on… Well I’ve been to see INCEPTION with Leonardo.. not WITH him.. but he is in it.
This is a good film. Lots of people are raving about it.. but it really doesnt break ground like THE MATRIX for example.. But if you want a good thinker film and one with Special effects then this is a good moive.. although I have to say most of the effects in the film, you see in the trailer! I hate it when they do that!

Harwich Power Festival Concert!

Well I had such good night on Friday in Harwich….

It was the start of the Power Boat Weekend in Harwich and we kicked it off in style with a fantastic concert. The crowd got there nice and early and all got a really good view of the stage. There were 10 acts on in total and the crowd were cheering form start to finish.

There was a great singing/dancing act called Port-lan, they were awesome and really got everyone going! My other favourites were Ironik and Tenny Ten who were just awesome! There was a set from DJ Luck and MC Neat and the big finale was Tinchy Styder!!

This is me with Ironik. He was great on stage and a really nice fella aswell bless him. Not all celebrities are that nice! But he took time to have photos with everyone which I thought was really sweet.

Me and Stu caught up with DJ Luck and MC Neat, their garage set was really good!

Friend of Kiss Breakfast “Tenny Ten” was there. He had the crowd going mad! Such a nice guy too and doing really well at the moment!

And here I am with Tinchy Stryder. He came on stage and everyone just went beserk! It must have been really nice for him as everyone was singing his songs. They kept pulling the music down and you could hear the crowd singing away it was fantastic!

Really enjoyed it and it was great to have such a fantastic crowd! So if you were there thank you very much!! I hear Olly Murs was fantastic the night after aswell.

Unsung Hero’s of UK soul!!

If you love a little kisstory, soul and funk and have not heard of Incognito then you have been asleep!!.. these guys have been flying the flag for UK soul for the past 2 decades and are back with a brand new album featuring some of the best voices and musicians around.. just thought i would share this clip of them live im a big fan and im chuffed some new material is out!
The album is all new but celebrates their 30th year making records.
All the great and the good of soul from Chaka Khan to Omar have played
with them. On this album their Chaka Khan, Ursula Rucker, Tony
Momrelle, Joy Rose all lend a hand to a very polished soul record… the new album is called Transatlantic R.P.M.. some serious soul for your ears!!.. nice work Bluey.. keeping the UK soulful in style!
